Thomas Embling Hospital Expansion – Cooke & Dowsett 2024

Scope of Works:

Engaged by Cooke & Dowset Plumbing Group to execute complex live sewer works for the Forensicare Thomas Embling Hospital expansion project in Fairfield. This demanding project required specialised horizontal laser boring through solid rock at significant depths, safely and effectively bridging the new hospital wing with the existing facility's infrastructure.

Works included:

• Installed 200m of DN225 sewer property service drain to facilitate the connection between the new wing and existing services.
• Executed horizontal laser boring through solid rock at challenging depths ranging from 4m (upstream) to 7m (downstream).
• Excavated three (3) bore shafts and installed two (2) 1- meter diameter Rehau maintenance structures.
• Conducted comprehensive post-works CCTV inspections and Wincan reporting, concluding with the issuance of a VBA plumbing certificate.
