Company History

Toner Group commenced over 30 years ago as Chris Toner Plumbing & Drainage, servicing the plumbing and drainage needs of new home builders in Southeast Melbourne.

Chris established the business on solid foundations of exceptional customer service, unquestioned quality and a commitment to understand and support his clients.

Over the years, Toner Group expanded its services into the commercial construction sector. In early 2022, Toner Group partnered with Straight Bat Private Equity with a view to further growth.

On the back of this partnership, Toner Group incorporated electrical trade services with the acquisition of JSE Electrical (2022) and specialised live sewer drainage following the acquisition of Katam Drainage (2024).

The acquisition of Katam Drainage expanded Toner Group’s service capabilities and reach to include specialised drainage works on the network side of sewer and stormwater infrastructure. Katam Drainage is an
