ProgrammedGreater Western Water

Scope of Works:

Engaged by principal contractor Programmed on behalf of Greater Western Water (GWW), our team was tasked with the critical rectification of a collapsed House Connection Branch (HCB). This project presented high-risk logistical and engineering challenges, primarily due to the significant 4.7-meter depth of the asset combined with highly restricted rear-yard access in a residential setting. The works required specialized excavation and stringent safety controls to safely extract the damaged infrastructure and restore the network.

Works included:

  • Executed precision hydro excavation down to 4.7m in a heavily constrained rear-yard environment.
  • Overcame severe access restrictions through careful logistical planning and specialised equipment selection.
  • Installed a robust ring and timber shoring shaft to ensure absolute structural stability and safe operator access at depth.
  • Successfully replaced the collapsed HCB segment to restore full network functionality.
  • Finalised the project with rigorous post-works CCTV pipe inspections for QA and client sign-off.
